Women in Development Paragraph
There was a time when women were confined within the four walls of their husbands or fathers’ houses. But now women are participating in the development programs of any country. Our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam has praised women’s participation in the progress of the world. He said, what is good, great and prosperous for a country is done by half men and half women.
In fact, women’s contribution in all fields cannot be denied. In Bangladesh, women were once looked down upon. It was believed that women were born to look after children, cook food and do household chores. In rural areas, women were not allowed to go to school or college.
But with the advancement of science, people’s views are also changing. They have now realized that women can also participate in development. They have proven their capabilities. Sometimes they do better than men. Moreover, they are seen to be more sincere than men. Even today, they are worthy of being the head of the country.
In our country, both the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition are women. And thousands of women are engaged in many important official duties. So women should not be looked down upon. They should be encouraged to participate in the overall development of the country along with their families.
The presence of women in our motherland is resounding in education, science, medical science, social welfare and politics. They are the potential builders of our country. Finally, it is right to say that women are contributing to the development of our country.
